The Wake Forest Police Department's Impact Unit is comprised of one lieutenant, two sergeants, and several officers that have received specialized training in critical incidents, aggressive traffic enforcement, and drug enforcement. The Impact Unit utilizes their specialized training and other aspects of police work to combat criminal activity and to prevent, locate, and apprehend individuals that compromise the safety, security, and well-being of the citizens of Wake Forest through the commission of criminal acts.
