The entire community is invited to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration that will feature several festivities throughout the year. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of history!

First Light Wake Forest December 31, 2008 - January 1, 2009; 5:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. Downtown Wake Forest On December 31, 2008 Wake Forest will ring in the New Year along South White Street with the first-ever First Light Wake Forest. The Voltage Brothers will headline this inaugural event. A non-alcoholic celebration, First Light Wake Forest is sure to attract families, seniors, singles and anyone who is looking for an inexpensive, fun way to ring in the New Year. Party of the Century February 20, 2009 Ledford Center, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary Wake Forest's second centennial celebration event is already being billed as the “Party of the Century!” Come celebrate the town’s birthday at the Ledford Center located on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. This once-in-a-lifetime party will include music, food, children’s activities, and of course – birthday cake! Bring your whole family and help us celebrate the birth of our historic town. Centennial Images: An Exhibit of Wake Forest Art Exhibit Dates: May 1-17, 2009 Opening Reception: May 1, 2009; 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The Forensic Press Building, 102 North Avenue, Wake Forest An exhibit and sale of paintings, drawings, and other two dimensional works created for inclusion in the Centennial Book, plus additional artwork depicting scenes and icons in and around Wake Forest. Businesses and individuals are invited to support the featured artists who have so generously donated their work for the book by pledging a Purchase Award in advance of the exhibit. A Purchase Award is not a donation, but is a commitment to select and buy a piece of artwork from one (or more) of the artists for a minimum amount. Patrons may pledge a specified dollar amount, or indicate an amount-not-to-exceed limit, and purchase the artwork of their choice. In addition, patrons are invited to the opening reception to meet the artists, and will be recognized at the show. |

Town of Wake Forest Christmas Gala December 5, 2009 New Wake Forest Town Hall We will bring this historic year to a close in style with a Christmas gala to celebrate the growth and prosperity of our town.
